End of grain agreement with negative consequences for China

Officials from Odesa City Council said: At night, the enemy attacked Odesa with Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea. Trying to bypass air defense systems, the enemy directed missiles at the minimum height, using the features of the landscape. The attacks are the latest in a spate of Russian attacks on the city and its infrastructure - with a particular focus on agricultural warehouses following the collapse of a deal allowing Ukraine to export grain via the Black Sea. China was the largest buyer under the agreement to export Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea. Now Russia has terminated the deal – hitting its most important partner above all. China criticized the cutoff of shipments and the bombs on Ukrainian port infrastructure. But it is still unclear how Beijing will now position itself.
