Saudi Arabia invited to talks on the Ukraine war. And unlike the previous round in Copenhagen, China accepted the invitation this time. Some already see this as a turning away from Russia. But this perception is misleading. China will not abandon its partner Russia so soon. Rather, Beijing is pursuing its own interests in Jeddah.
