China and Russia present themselves as peace powers

At the Lavrov-Wang meeting, China and Russia presented themselves as responsible superpowers working toward peace in the Middle East. They believe that only the USA is to blame for the conflicts there. Russia followed China's lead on the import ban on Japanese fish products. Meanwhile, tension is growing ahead of Putin's visit to Beijing.
