Challenging Sergey Lavrov and maintaining good contact with Antony Blinken is one thing. Convincing skeptical BRICS countries like South Africa, India and Brazil to engage in more cooperation is something entirely different. The perceived or actual humiliations are significant, especially the handling of vaccines during the pandemic. Therefore, the developments within BRICS will be a particularly tough task for Annalena Baerbock.
