It is time for Germany to formally seek forgiveness from Namibia

On Thursday, Namibia observed Genocide Remembrance Day to commemorate the genocide. To advance reconciliation, Germany must first ask Namibia for forgiveness, says Green Party MP Jamila Schäfer. She also calls for addressing the gaps in Germany’s culture of remembrance.
