KfW: Increasing commitments to Africa despite budget cuts

Germany’s shift in development cooperation policy is increasingly shaping the work of the state development bank KfW. Last year, it offset declining budget resources with a substantial rise in market-based financing. Despite this, it is sharpening its regional focus on Africa.
