Ahead of EU summit: Debate over mutual assistance clause gains momentum

The European Union is preparing to test its mutual assistance clause under a range of scenarios. Cyprus and Greece want to raise Article 42(7) at the informal summit in Nicosia. At the meeting of EU leaders, Kaja Kallas is expected to brief leaders on the bloc’s security situation.
