Rheinmetall plans to build surface drones in Hamburg to protect maritime infrastructure

Rheinmetall subsidiary Naval Systems plans to mass-produce autonomous surface drones at Blohm+Voss. But instead of focusing on sales, the company is pursuing a new business model: maritime surveillance “as a service.”
