Energy: Industry opposes consumption cap.

As part of the Green Deal, EU member states agreed to reduce energy consumption in Europe to a fixed level by 2030. But Europe’s largest business federation sees this as too restrictive – even though the Commission recently reaffirmed its commitment to the target.

Sustainability omnibus: EP negotiator wants to scrap climate plans.

The rapporteur for the proposed easing of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) wants to exempt more companies from CSRD requirements than the European Commission does. However, Jörgen Warborn does not intend to scrap the EU supply chain law entirely.
