Eurostat: the Eurozone grows at a moderate pace

The eurozone economy is growing as expected, but not everywhere. Germany in particular is acting as a brake with its 0.1 percent drop in GDP, while the economies in France, Italy and Spain are growing.

Faeser wants to maintain border controls

According to the Federal Minister of the Interior, border controls work. Nancy Faeser therefore wants to maintain controls at the borders with Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland until irregular migration has been effectively reduced.
