'Failing to act could become so costly that it could overwhelm the state'

The German "Climate Adaptation Week" aims to make it clear: The effects of the climate crisis are also clearly felt in Germany. In today's special interview, German Environment Minister Steffi Lemke demands that authorities and planners anchor adaptation in everyday life. Global Stocktake: The details hold surprises

Green methane: Study casts doubt over Germany's plans

The German government promises that the LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven will be used to import carbon-neutral synthetic natural gas. But a new study commissioned by the think tank Agora Energie and available to Table.Media shows that many unresolved problems remain: The technology is untested, its profitability is questionable, and it could delay the conversion of gas pipelines to hydrogen.
