If loss and damage does not get on the agenda, COP fails

We have entered a new era of loss and damage from human-induced climate change. Therefore, finance for loss and damage must be on the agenda of the upcoming COP27 – or the climate summit will have failed before it officially starts. The Global Shield being co-developed between the G7 and V20 can certainly offer help, but it is not enough. We need a more comprehensive Finance Facility for loss and damage to be established at this COP.
