For the first time in 10 years, the head of Taiwan’s opposition Kuomintang, or KMT, is traveling to the People’s Republic at Beijing’s invitation. Cheng Li-wun sees the visit as a signal of greater rapprochement – something she says is necessary in the current geopolitical climate.
