WHO Emergency Approval for Sinovac

The World Health Organization (WHO) has granted an Emergency Use Listing (EUL) to the Covid 19 vaccine from Chinese manufacturer Sinovac. This will provide assurance that the vaccine meets international standards for safety, efficacy and manufacture,” according to a WHO statement on Tuesday. “The world urgently needs multiple Covid-19 vaccines to address the huge access inequity around the world,” said Mariângela Simão, WHO’s assistant director-general for access to health products.
