Tennis star accuses high cadre of sexual assault

Tennis player Peng Shuai (35) has accused a senior member of the Chinese Communist Party of sexual harassment. Zhang Gaoli (74) was a member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the CCP from 2012 to 2017. He is one of the most powerful men in the country. The case comes amid a wave of allegations by the MeToo movement about sexual abuse and the exploitation of positions of power.
