China exported around 5.3 million tons of steel in May, 19.8 percent more than in the same month last year. This is according to figures from the Chinese customs administration. According to the data, the cumulative export volume of steel from January to May reached 30.9 million tons, which corresponds to a year-on-year increase of as much as 23.7 percent.
