A Shenzhen skyscraper in the middle of the electronics shopping district of Huaqiangbei business metropolis shook significantly for several minutes on Tuesday. Eyewitnesses reported seeing tea in pots sloshing around in business premises and cartons shifting. People fled in panic before the administration formally evacuated the building. At 292 metres, SEG Plaza is a good 30 metres taller than the Commerzbank Tower in Frankfurt. The building was erected 20 years ago.
