Chinese EV manufacturer NIO has suspended production due to supply chain failures in the wake of the Covid crisis. Several supply partners have suspended production one by one since March “for reasons related to the epidemic,” such as in Jilin, Shanghai and Jiangsu, and have yet to recover, the Tesla rival reported on Saturday. As a result, NIO was also forced to halt its production. The company announced it would postpone vehicle deliveries.
