BDI urges Respect for Human Rights

A clear commitment by German business to human rights in China: the President of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), Siegfried Russwurm, has appealed to German companies to insist on compliance when doing business in the People’s Republic. “China is a growing competitor that repeatedly violates global rules. As an exporting country, we must draw a line where the ability to compromise stops: human rights are not an internal matter,” the head of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) told Bild on Sunday.
