German FDP visit to Taiwan: ‘Demonstrating a firm stance’

The ten members of the liberal FDP parliamentary group will remain in Taiwan until Thursday. The MPs see their trip as a sign of solidarity with a democratic partner and reject any accusations of provocation.

The democratic island republic is currently very popular with German parliamentarians. Since Monday, the third Bundestag delegation in just three months has been to Taiwan.
