In China, the pace of vaccination continues to pick up. Over the weekend, the Beijing Health Commission announced that the number of vaccinations administered had reached the one billion mark (China.Table reported). In the past week alone, another 100 million vaccinations were given nationwide. By the end of the year, a vaccination rate of at least 70 percent should be reached, Zeng Yixin, deputy head of the health commission, promised on Sunday.
